Where can I connect with my Mind Over Mirror community?
I use a digital platform called Practice Better. All of your modules, group chat accountability, group calls and fillable PDF's will be through the app that you can download. Desktop version also available.

What is the time commitment throughout the course?
The course lasts 10 weeks. Each week plan for 30-60 minutes of training videos. Each week plan for 1-2 hours of independent work through the course material. Plan for 3, 60-minute group calls per program (optional). 1 60 minute individual session w/ Mikyah.
Overall, plan for 2-3 hours per week to not fall behind in the program.

Are there payment plans available?

Is the program right for someone with an eating disorder?
Mind Over Mirror is not appropriate for someone needing a one-on-one care team for medical stabilization from an eating disorder. If you have had an eating disorder many years ago and are medically stable then it could be an appropriate fit. I am happy to discuss your specific situation with you prior to the start of the program to help you determine if Mind Over Mirror is a good fit for you. I do provide individual eating disorder nutrition therapy if this is more appropriate for your situation.

Will this program help me lose weight?
Whenever you embark on a health journey, it might be tempting to focus on weight loss as your main goal. Where has that left you in the past? While weight loss might happen with behavior change, it is not guaranteed. Healing the way you relate with food and your body is much more long-lasting than chasing the thin ideal our society promotes.

What if I tried intuitive eating in the past and it didn't work for me?
Not to worry, my friend! There's still hope! Intuitive eating can be a tricky thing to implement on your own. There are a lot of nuances to it that you might not have caught that made application difficult for you. I am also a firm believer in establishing a foundational knowledge of nutrition in order to help read your body's signals and know what it needs. That's why Mind Over Mirror blends nutrition education with intuitive eating principles to help you fill in the gaps you may have been missing in the past.

Do I have to be religious to do this program?
You do not! There is a spiritual component to the program because it plays a huge part in my personal food relationship recovery and it has proven to be a major tool my patients use in order to achieve breakthrough. However, all the spiritual components are separated into their own sub-modules and can easily be skipped if you prefer not to participate in them. You can complete the program fully without the spiritual component if you choose!
